Call for Workshops/Tutorials

The ICEE 2018 organizing committee invites proposals for Workshops/Tutorials, which are to take place on May 8th, May 9th or May 10th, 2018.  We seek proposals across a wide range of topics and levels—ranging from fundamentals to the latest advances in hot topic areas. Topics of interest include all topics related to the ICEE topics especially those related to interdisciplinary and/or emerging topics.

Proposal Format: Workshops/Tutorials can be presented in half day (4 hours), full day (8 hours) or two days (16 hours) in length. Each Workshop/Tutorial proposal must contain the following:
1. Title
2. Names and Affiliations  of Speakers
3. Abstract (one or two paragraphs)
4. Intended Audience (one paragraph): Describe the background assumed of Workshop/Tutorial attendees.
5. Description:  A statement (no more than 3 pages) giving clear motivation/justification for the topic to be presented at ICEE 2018 and a comprehensive outline of the proposed content.
6. Materials: A description (one or two paragraphs) of materials to be provided to attendees on the conference website – course slides, annotated bibliography, code snippets etc. NOTE: the materials themselves do not need to be provided in the proposal.
7. Special equipment required in the Workshop/Tutorial specifically for practical workshops.
8. Bio- sketches: A half-page bio-sketch of each Workshop/Tutorial presenter must also be included.

Proposal Submission: Workshop/Tutorial proposals must be in PDF format and submitted via email to the Workshop/Tutorial Chair, Dr. Mehdi oloomi, at me_oloomi@yahoo.com Any questions should also be addressed to the Workshop/Tutorial Chair.

Workshop/Tutorial Proposals Due:  March. 16, 2018.  

Acceptance Notification: April. 19, 2018.   

Final Camera Ready Slides: May. 30, 2017.
